Default Pass'n on the fun

My son (who is graduating from college in a couple of weeks) brought 4 of his college buddies home to do some shooting.

First off I was really happy to see how safe these young men are with shooting and handling guns. Some have never shot a handgun until today. Next I was shocked to see how competitive they were with wanting to make good shots and out do each other.

We had all 5 of them out S9, S40, M9, M49, and M357 Sig. I believe most commented on how well they liked the S40A1.

We shot paper and also these little yellow plastic targets bought from cabelas.

These young men consistently made hits out to 30 yards and shot the yellow targets out to a range of 40 yards where they had quite a few misses but the misses wasn't by very much!

Burned lots of ammo and had two issues. A very light firing pin mark on the primer. I think it happened on the M40 once and the M357Sig twice??? Never seen this happen before...

Anyway I'm pretty sure that these young men all have Steyr fever. And to top it off I had one small caliber (10" 5mm Mag contender). They all had a grin on their face with a sparkler in their eyes. Then my son asked if they could shoot the AR-17Rem... After printing a bunch of clover leafs I think they may have a touch of small caliber fever.

It didn't stop there, busted done clay rocks with the 12 & 20 gauges... They had a blast (literally) finished up with 1 shot each from a 7-30 waters 14" barrel.
