Cool ot not quite small cal i guess

how many on here run a 6x45 (6mm-223) in a bolt action rifle
seems a few run in ar uppers or pistols in usa
a few running them here in nz on lil sakos,527s or m85 zastavas
i got my dream LH 22 hornet last year Hopefully build my dream 6x45 on a 80s vintage lh rem 700 this year after all the covid19 stuff and lockdown we have here

So interested to see others 6x45 bolt action rifles😎👍

have had a couple bolt rifles and a ar, bolt guns were a L461 sako and a mini Mauser. both shot very well and left the 223 in their dust. the ar shot just as well. have a 25-45 sharps on the way on an ar platform.
magazine length is the only limiting factor, would think a short action Remington 700 would be the cats meow.
had a 6x45 on a model seven and it was a real coyote duster. it was always a bang flop with that rifle.

I'm in the middle of one right now, a Sako A1 with a Brux 1-8 #3 going into a Brown Precision stock. I would have it up and running but the barrel channel on the stock has to be reworked more than I have wanted to take on recently so it sits. May have to get one of my riflesmith friends to finish it up. While we are talking about this, I just received a Howa Mini in 223 and it would make a really nice inexpensive 6X45 with just a rebarrel and open the barrel channel a little. That would make a nice knock around rifle.

Gidday Muz, the 6x45 is reasonably popular here as a bolt gun, I've given away a couple of old 14 twist barrels that have been fitted and chambered in 6x45.
From what I here they shoot pretty well too.

I have to ask what was your dream l/h 22 Hornet, left hand ones are few and far between here in NZ...……….Kiwi

That's a pretty good score, I've only ever seen one l/h Browning Hornet for sale, I just wasn't quick enough to get it, one day maybe another will show itself...…..Cheers
