Default Nosler .22 Hornet brass test results

Okay, just returned from testing a bunch of Nosler .22 Hornet brass. If you plan to form it to any kind of improved version (.17AH, .22K, etc) you will need to anneal it first. Even the very low pressure loads blew the shoulders out something fierce.

Do not take that to mean it is poor quality brass, RWS is the same way and it is top quality brass.

Once I'd had some more time to work with it I'll let everyone know my results.

I'm definitely interested in this Ron, thanks for keeping us posted.

I needed more hornet brass for the shoot we just did in Thurmont so I went back and reclaimed a bunch of Hornady cases that didn't make the first cut when I was trying determine earlier just how much shorter than the recommended trim length (1.393) I was going to try, just to get 30 or 35 new cases up & running for my 22 hornet, out of 2 boxes of 50! The Hornady "Frontier" stamped brass that I collected from first trying some factory 35 v-max's was very consistent, but not the Hornady new factory brass for 22hornet!
