What's gonna happen with the young folks joining the service?
some join at 17. Already Iv'e read some complaints about having served in the wars and come home and can't buy a gun, have a drink, or buy ammo some places.

It's all going to backfire again. Just watch.

Friend Mike in CO/Spgs said he feels Trump is saying these things to string the media along and being forced into the corner. So he's putting it on Congress's back to do something and if they don't, he's covered his butt." Something to think about guys.

Default Dicks Sporting goods anti-gun now

Dicks and Walmart, knee jerk into the 21 or over age limit, due to one kid, in this case (Florida) legally buying a gun, back ground check and all, but then deciding to become a criminal and murder others with the rifle.
Wonder when the motor vehicle departments in various states will raise the age limit, to buy and drive a motor vehicle, as kids under 21 kill others everyday, and in higher numbers with their motor vehicles.
It is just plain stupid, how some are only blaming the rifle and knee jerking onto and into the anti-gun groups tent. No one seems to have a lick of common sense, in politics and especially the anti groups any longer. They can see or reason on what and who is at fault for the rise in murder/crime. Just blame one item. Totally ignorant. Bill K

Dicks has not sold a black rifle for almost 6 years. When DICKtater Obama started the Promise program to reduce incarceration and increase kids in school, it CREATED the problem for THIS shooting. How does anything go on your record for a background check, when the SCHOOLS and POLICE won't put it on your record. Also, and I did not realize this, IF a 17 year old uses a gun in a crime, the minute he/she/it turns 19 it will be locked up with a Juvi records and he/she/it can by said evil black gun. I was listening to a radio program in Nebraska and a "D" state senator, who is a defense Lyer, was bringing up a bill to correct this issue. He listed 2 recent cases, one in which said punk was shooting at Deputies when he was 17, and when he became an "adult" his records were cleared. Thanks ACLU

ACLU had nothing too do with the purging of Juv records, etc. that law has been in effect for years. No one took note of the fact that their records was or could be sealed and crimes committed when they were under 18, not be used against them. Maybe some will now, but still not the agenda the Dem and anti-gun folks are after. Bill K

No loss ! The original Dicks is still in Upstate NY , but Firearms and Reloading Supplies were downgraded so long ago , it's hard to remember . Twenty years ago , the local Mom & Pop Shops carried more Guns and Reloading Equipment than Dicks . Dicks decided long ago there was more Profit in hundred dollar Sneakers or fifty dollar Jeans or Running Suits than in a Remington or Redding Die .

At least Walmart is honest about it--they weren't making any money selling AR's.
Dick's on the other hand is pure theater and should be treated accordingly

Broward Co implemented in 2014. Georga New Daily has a great timeline and article . The ACLU steps in and every time there is a chance to "defend" this crap.

Several years ago a friend dubbed Dicks "Socks and Jocks" because that was all they were worth, and he is a very avid golfer in addition to a shooter.

As Bill K said, it is the liberal/socialist agenda that stirring all this pot up. Write your congressman and senators.

Default Disck's and Wal-Mart

Guys, hate to be the one to tell you this - You guys were all about how Obama was trying to take your guns, the whle time he was in office. I NEVER heard him say what Trump said yesterday, He was in favor of taking your guns BEFORE any DUE Process, DO that after words! This group does some shady shit in the middle of the night, OUR liberties are real risk with this group. Ban the BLACK gun, this week, let someone go in and kill people with a GLOCK, Handguns next.
How do you explain it to a young man or woman that serves in the military, comes home and can't buy a gun for a year or more?

The statements President Trump has been saying are troubling, but also note he is making this all public, while our past Democrats did all their discussions behind closed doors. I feel better that Trump is a negotiator, and these are negotiation meetings, nothing I have seen are set in stone.

Under the last administration folks like Schumer, Feinstein and Pelosi were the mouthpieces, and they also had enough votes to get things like gun control and other issues Republicans generally dislike, passed. Luckily folks like the NRA stood up and we didn't get these laws passed, and I doubt they will go anywhere, regardless of what President Trump says before the camera's, he isn't able to pass bills, he can only push executive orders.

I truly believe WE gun owners need to not condemn the President for his open discussions, and what I see on other forums is an internal struggle with gun owners. I believe this negative stand is a byproduct of the left's agenda, and making us less joined behind our president is what they want to happen. Create tension, get us in-fighting, and they have gotten a few steps closer to winning.

I believe it is best to write the President on his open forum line, contact your representatives and voice your opinion, and either join or donate to the NRA or whatever other pro-gun organization you choose, as the fight is just beginning.

I hope I am correct and Trump is just doing his usual negotiating process. Just don't abandon him, until he shows differently.

Allen
