varminteer, that set up is killing alot of long range coyotes for sure, i know afew guys shooting it and they love it, they are shooting 80 gr horadys

Since I don't keep pelts I have moved to 85gr BTSP @ 3500 fps in my 6mm-06. I have yet to take one past 200 yards with this rig.

I have however taken a few dogs just over 400 yards with my .223AI and a 52gr AMax @ 3500 fps with great results.

I think the key is to stay away from Ballistic Tips. I had one blow up on a shoulder and lost the dog.
