Default Question on short-barrelled 17 with 37 HG's

Guys I'm thinking about pulling a 17 Rem. 1:6.5 T K&P barrel off a 722 action, shortening the barrel to ~18" screwing it back onto an XP-100 and running some of the 37 HG's. Any ideas as to what i can expect for velocity out of that short barrel?

I'm trying to make a 400-yd. 17 cal. coyote pistol, and am hoping this bullet at good velocity will do it...?

My current 17 XP-100 is a 17 FB that's pushing it trying to get to ~300.

If you assume you could get at least 3600 out of the 37 in a 24 inch 17 Rem, then take off 25 fps for each inch you still got 3300 to work with. My guess is you'll be in that area or a tad more.
