Default Case trimming

What is everyone using for case trimmers.likes,dislikes. Im currently using my old forrester manual trimmer but need to do thousands of 223 and others for stock. Need something faster. Im considering the one by little crow (worlds finest trimmer) or on the high end the giraud power trimmer...thoughts,recomendations

Microgun

Have you thought about getting a power adapter and using a drill press,
can really speed up the work,
I have one for each of my Forster and Wilson setups.

http://www.forsterproducts.com/produ...rimmers/power/

I just "C" clamp it to the drill table.

Tia,
Don

Default Case trimming

I still use my old standby RCBS hand trimmer, but am using more and more the WFT ( Worlds fastest trimmer) . Both do the job just fine, for me. Bill K

+1 on what nvreloader said. I have been using my Forster Power Trimmer for years, and do .172 to .458 bullet sizes. For .223 specifically, you do need to make sure the rims are not too bent or beat up, as Hippy said. I usually can keep length within 0.001", and do 250-300 cases per hour on .223, once it is set up and adjusted.

This is why you'll see some variation of the L.E. Wilson on every BR gear line up. Trying to regulate a case with a neck pilot and solid hold on the base may give you accurate trim lengths, but will rarely give you straight concentric cuts to the centerline of the case. Think of a jump rope. It might be barely moving at the hands, yet the center is flopping in an elliptical pattern. For the best accuracy and repeatable results L.E. Wilson or a variation of is the only way to trim.

I recently picked up a Worlds Cheapest Trimmer ... Google it ... mine is for 223. I like it a lot ... I especially like that it was delivered to my door for $23.49. I've run about 2000 brass through it and am very happy with it.

L.E. Wilson from sinclair int. with fishtail and micrometer. very easy to use and accurate cuts. it probably wouldn't be the fastest way to trim brass but if your looking for best repeatability and accuracy combined with ease of use i think the L.E. Wilson is hard to beat.

The wilson seams as though it would be the most accurate trimmer. But with nearly 5000 cases(conservatively speaking) to trim. I dont think its going to cut the mustard in the speed department. The worlds cheapest trimmer looks fast but how accurate is it flash hole? Anything involving a drill press is out because i dont see the gauge stop being accurate or fast
