Default Maybe a light at the end of this trouble.

Today my wife called from our local chain sporting goods shop with the news that they had new supplies of ammo, not much, a few new cans of powder, a few boxes of bullets we have not seen for a long time and , lordy be, some large and small pistol primers with a limit of not more than 5 boxes of each type for under $3.00 per box of 100 primers. We were delighted and she brought home what she could. Is anyone else see this supply?

Last week, Scheels in Eden Prairie Mn had I’d guess 5-8,000 CCI small pistol primers at $4 per 100. Three days later, they were gone.

I was in a Sportsman Warehouse about 3 weeks ago, not a single tray or box of primers on the shelves, nor any powder at all. All that was on the shelves were 5-6 boxes of bullets, I bought one box for $12 as that's all they had in the calibers I own. Any store with reloading supplies is an hour + drive for me, so I don't go there but on occasion.

Scheels in SLC had CCI small pistol primers for $40 per 1k with a 1k limit. I currently have enough so I left them for the folks who needed them. Word apparently got out and folks were standing in line fotr them. They were gone in a couple hours. Sadly, the local classifieds now have a few extra listings from the scalpers it seems.

I was in Cabela's yesterday in OKC. I saw no ammo off any kind. One can of powder called Shotshell, two boxes of Barnes .338 bullets on one for 6.8. There were no empty selves but rows and rows of shelves fill with empty plastic ammo boxes.

Fishing supply aisles were packed with al kinds of fishing supplies.
