I like that setup and idea also. Thank you for sharing.

We had my two "mini" rifles out at the same time so I took the opportunity to get a picture showing their relative size. I know you guys here like small rifles so this is a cooper M38 and a howa mini side-by-side:

Even the Mini looks big next to a 38. A ruger 77/22 might as well be a 300 Win-Mag in this company.

The Howa Mini works OK with the 30Carbine head size case? I have been working/playing with a 22 Spitfire on a custom rifle that was originally Hornet, but the Nesika firing pin energy kept knocking the cases forward creating excess headspspace. I even rechambered it to K-Hornet and still had the problem to a lesser degree, so rebarreled to the Spitfire and I'm really enjoying the change. I like 1680 and Alliant 300MP in it with 40 gr bullets @ 3250 upto 3350fps.

Thanks Flyrod. I have my hoard of both the Noslers and Vmax ordered. Shipping is reasonable too.

...had the 22s out today and took a picture. The WSSM will go further and is more dramatic when it gets there, but the spitwad still gets used more. I hope everyone's summer is going well!

Hi flyrod, good to hear from you. Did the fires create any problems for you?
