hawke scopes
who amongst you are or have used Hawke scopes? I have an xb30 pro on my crossbow and it is excellent. when I went to their website I noticed they like most companies make from mild to wild. what caught my attention was the scopes with bdc for 22 subsonic, 22 hv 17 mach 2, 22 mag and 17 hmr. reticles are very nice and sight picture is crisp.
your thoughts? decided to try a 17 mach 2 vantage model, seemed like it would do nicely for squirrel hunting.

I bought a hawke scope for 50 dollars when eabco was clearing their old models out. I was happy with it, keeping in mind I got it for cheap and my expectations were low to begin with. I don't know about their special models but was happy for a deer rifle

I've got five Hawke scopes, and no issues with any of them. Two are on spring powered air rifles, which if you don't know, tear scopes apart and they are fine.
I have one on a Savage A17 Target Sporter, with the 17 HMR reticle, but haven't tested it out past 150 to see how close it is. One other is a .22LR reticle and have shot that one out to its graduated distance of 200 yards and it was bang on. I was shooting a 6" or so diameter rock with it and hits were boringly consistent. |

I have a Hawke scope with the 17 HMR reticle mounted on my Savage 93, 17 HMR.
Very pleased with it. Reticle appears to be right on, couple rock chucks taken between 150 and 175 yards, lots of ground squirrels in between. |
