Default OT?

When I was a kid there was a monument, west of Frederick MD on the spot where a Union sharpshooter, umm "interrupted" a Confederate Gen'l eating his breakfast in Virginia.

Anyone know if it's still there?

Interesting, I've lived here all my life and not heard that story. I have heard where an Officer was killed while shaving but thought that was in Va. Possibly Fredericksburg????

If you google, civil war sniper, one mile shot you will get a lot of web sites with information on snipers during the war. The one mile shot has proven to be untrue but other amazing shots are documented as well as the men and rifles that made them. The one thing the internet has going for it.
