X-ring, wow a 30" barrel, that's a long one. I guess it shoots well. And a 8 twist Swift that prefers 40's is something else. That's awesome but I bet you were shocked.
.................................................. ............................... SS427, I wasn't going to say so but one of my favorite scopes is an old Nightforce 12x42x56. Like you said, I rarely shoot it over 20x but it's there if I need it to look at something a long ways off. Where I hunted, except for deep canyons, it's flat as a flitter. Seems like you can see forever. Our back windmill is 8 miles from the gate and when you turn in, there it is sky lighted. When I was healthy I hunted from a 24 foot elevated platform or stand and I've observed many an animal or predator at very long distance that I was able to get down and drive around to for a shot or to call in. It worked for me a lot. And about the moa hash marks, you are so correct that a lot of times you just don't have the time to dial in and in that case they are great. Jim D SE Texas

I hunt with 15 Xand down.
I target with 15 X and up. If I have to get better scores, I just type it in . Kenny
