My local gun store has a new one. It is listed on gun broker. It is a nice looking rifle. I don't think the wood is that outstanding. PM me if you want more info. Chris

I will have a model 38 in 20VT for sale in a few weeks. Nice wood but it is the varminter model. I am sold on the VT caliber and this one is going to WY tomorrow for a couple hundred rounds "break in" period. Having another VT built but it is months away...

Ken158, thanks for the offer, however I really am looking for a MTV with NICE wood.
I live 40 miles south of Cheyenne WY, lots of PDs around here. In fact every vacant lot or open groud has PDs on it (even in town). I'm heading to a ranch near Laramie, weather permitting, this weekend for some Verminating. We also have Wyoming (Richardson) ground squirrels closer to the mountains. They are a close relative to the California ground squirrel. Good luck on your WY trip! Dave |

I will be passing by your location tomorrow afternoon and will be in Wheatland for the week. You guys have quite the target rich environment! I knew you wanted a MTV but figured I would advise my 38 would be on the market soon.

Just a heads up...it has been cold and rainy for the last week, today it's 43 degrees.
I don't know if you are a old west "buff" but you will be very close to the historic Fort Laramie of Western Lore.If you are, this is a must see http://www.nps.gov/fola/index.htm http://archive.cyark.org/projects/FLA/misc/virtualtour/ I'm anxious to hear your report of your hunt. good hunting Dave Last edited by fiddlefadel; 05-19-2011 at 07:44 PM. |

Yeah, I talked to my rancher friend last night about the weather but next week does sound better - hopefully. Always looking for something to do on a rain or wind day and the fort sounds good -Thanks!
