Default Orderes a Savage Model 25 Varminter T in 17 HH

I have been thinking about a 17 AK Hornet for some time. With the announcement of the Hornaday 17 Hornet I decided to go forthe HH.

Ordered the Savage with thumbhole stock. Gave $617 for it. It's on the way to my gunshop now. Looking to find some good prices on ammo.

I spoke with Hornaday about brass and reloading data and they said probably this summer since it's all going into the factory ammo. They think this caliber will be a huge hit.

I shoot my 17 HMRs more than any rifles I own even my 20 VT.

Wish CZ would have brought out the 17HH but will give the Savage a try.

I'm pretty stoked about this 17HH.

Any leads on ammo would be appreciated.

Dave

Anxious to hear an accuracy report with the factory ammo. Keep us posted.

Length.

Just give me them loading dies and i'll take it from there.
All hornet brass is going to dry up like desert in summer. Kenny

I have not been able to find anyone that has the 17 HH in stock. Midsouth lists the ammo, brass and dies but all out of stock. Ammo $16.66 per 25.

Just spoke with Hornaday and they have not shipped yet, they are waiting untill they have 20,000 rounds so they can fill everyones order at the same time...BUMMER

No brass, dies or load data available yet.

Also, had inquired to Cooper if they were going to make it available in the 38 action and they said they would wait and see how well it was received.

In addition to recently becoming a Redding dealer we have also became a Hornady Dealer. I hope over the next couple weeks we will be able to get the dies and brass for the 17 Hornet.
