Default .17 screamer

Hi guys
Thought id post some pics of my .17, I call it the screamer, but basically its a .200 thou short BR, otherwise known as the small dog. The action is a 1.700dia nesika, left bolt right port, tooley mbr stock, and maximum varmint contour, shilen 1-9 twist, 29in long. This rifle is ssoooooo much fun to shoot!! especially off the bench, free recoil . It has 20 rabbits to its tally so far, all with explosive results. Im using Kindler 29 grn boattails at the moment which this barrel absolutley loves (see targets). Ill also attach pics of my case forming steps, I use Skip Ottos forming die and bushings for that. Brass is formed from 6BR.
Enjoy
Hopfully pics will attach

Default I think I'm in love...

Very very nice.

I can appreciate the time it takes to make brass, it has to be a labor of love, or you will end up pulling your hair out.

Thanks for the pics, I love to see projects in work and or finished.

Thank goodness there are no rules when it comes to building and creating projects.

Cheers Brian

Jim :-
Im currently working overseas, and its been some time since i last shot the .17, i do remember when i first got it, and started load development, at 4300 fps with 30 grn bergers, all the primers were dropping out, i forget which powders though as i tried several brands. Ive now settled on 22grns of H322, shooting 29 grn kindlers, but am uncertain of the velocity, its accuracy is what im happy with, and have yet to verify the speed.

Reguards

Kev

with the groups you're getting I wouldn't worry about the velocity either. good show and a very neat looking cartridge.
PS
as long as you're are gone you could drop it off at my place and I could take care of it for you. you might as well drop off a few bullets, primers and powder so it won't be lonely.
