This is the last one,, I swear!
This one left Hamilton Montana today. It is due Thursday if the weather will allow it. This one better be the last for a while, wife is no help, tells me to buy whatever I am looking at. I hate to stop looking, going to have to do it on the sly I guess. This Browning is supposed to be new in the box, I may need some white gloves to handle it. I do place the blame on members that posted pictures of their 1885s, especially the 223... a weakness of mine. Bill |

Just admit you're a gunaholic and need to appease the urge now and then. Nice fur it's laying on too!

If I remember right, Browning also made the high wall in 223.

Thanks for the positive replies. The picture is from the dealer in Hamilton, I don't know anything about the fur. It was sold to me as new in box, the picture sucked me in and the rest is history. I have liked the 223, I have a few. I also like and enjoy the 221 Furball and 218 Bee. Yes Tin Man, Browning did make an 1885 High wall in 223, there is one listed on Guns International now... hint, hint!

Bill congratulation on your purchase. I have the same Browning also in 223. It is a tackdriver. I’ve only shot 40 and 55 grain and they are both super accurate.
Not finicky at all, everything shoots great. I’m sure yours will do the same. I am also weak. All this talk of Browning 1885 got to me. I just bought a Hornet and it’s on its way to me. Hope it shoots as well as my 223. That Doug guy is trouble. 😈 Larry |

Flynmoose, I went the other way, mine is a BPCR in 45-70. I already lots of 223s, and would love to have one, but it won't happen for me.

And I quote: This one better be the last for a while....
It's getting a bit hard to take you at your' word Bill. The humanitarian part of me wonders if an intervention is in order. The bigger part of me just wants to sit back and see what comes next! You're going to need to hire a moving van just for the firearms when you head back to God's Country! |
