You guys down in the states, still have lots off bullet options, since I started shooting .17 hornet, we have lost about 1/2 our bullet options, here in Canada, Z-max gone, 25 Hornardy hollow point, two weights of Berger's,
And what's left is now at $30 box of a 100,
the NOE mould is just an insurance, that I can still shoot my .17 cal rifles, and at sum point in time, I will cast up a few hundred, and try them out.
I know that this might sound extreme, but if you really like the NOE mould design and don't like casting them, just either get a group buy together from a Canadian supplier or get a set of Corbin swage dies to cold form the slugs out of lead wire. For the harder ones though with tin and Zinc, you are still stuck with casting.

There are guys using 1/9 twist.172 barrels and fitting them to PCP air rifles. They are shooting them between 950-1000 fps and are shooting Prairie Dogs and ground squirrels at pretty impressive ranges, some over 200 yds. PCP’s are a long way from the old Crosman 760 or all of the “1200 fps” exaggerated break barrels. I took a Prairie Dog at nearly 150yds with a .25 Marauder.
