Default New Alliant Powders

Do any of you know where the new Alliant Power Pro powders fit into the "burn rate" charts? They are: Varmint, 2000 MR, 3000 MR, and 4000 MR. Alliant's website hasn't been a lot of help.

I talked to the Rep there and he told me the Varmint is going to be near 335H. I was disapointed but I hope it will have a small grain structure. I am really interested in the Magnum Pistol, I bet it's going to be very close to N120. If that is true buy it while you can. Adam

Default New Alliant Powder burn rates

Here's the information I received from Alliant about the new powders.

2000MR is similar to RL 15; 4000MR is perhaps a bit faster than RL 22;
300MP is a bit slower than H110; "Varmint" is similar to RL 12 (not
released yet); and 3000LR will be in the RL 17 range, but it is has not
been released either.

Interesting. I have been shooting some old Hercules RL 12 in my 17 Rem. I wonder if the new stuff will be similar. The 300MP, being a little slower than H-110 might be good in the 5mm Rem. Mag. centerfire.
