Will be interesting to see what the manufacturing date is on the jug. Glad to hear you are being rewarded for your patience!

I ordered some from Sinclair as it showed it was in stock. I ordered some other powder to make the economy of scale on the hazmat fee a little better. Got my shipment on thursday without the 1680. It was not in stock and canceled. Kinda of pissed me off as I ended up paying more per pound than I wanted to because of no 1680 and the hazmat fee.

Just got A1680 last week from LGS -- $28.50 per lb.. Only had 2 jugs left and was told it won't last more than a day and that I better get more now if I want it. Don't want more till I see what this new CZ 527 Varmint .17 Hornady Hornet likes.

How do you decipher the lot # to determine the date of manufacture?

Welcome to Saubier.com laedco .
I have some 1 lbs'rs that have 03004 on em that I would surmise were March of 04 ? I also have a a couple 8lbs'rs that have a white tag on the bottom of the jug that has "47272" on top and 11..14.05 that I'm sure is November 14th 2005 and I'd throw out a WAG that the top number is the lot#.
As to where to buy it I've always bought in bulk from "Powder Valley" but not sure how they have been supplied lately cause I haven't needed to shop except for .22 Mag ammo to feed a couple new acquisitions . I think the only ones hit harder by the short supplies of everything than the sportsmen are the stores that need to sell product to stay in business, ya can't sell apples out of an empty cart .
