Default Mini- 6X45

For a project, I'm fitting an old Shilen 6mm barrel to my Ruger Mini-14 & chambering it to 6X45. Why would anyone want to do such a thing you might ask? Well, I had this barrel with a very sore throat from 600 rds. of 6mm A.I. sitting around and thought this might be a way to get some more use out of it. I've cut off the chamber end and contoured the barrel to fit the Mini-14 but haven't threaded it yet. I think I'll get rid of most of the eroded throat when I chamber it.
I need dies and a finish reamer if any of the members have either or both they wish to sell or trade. P.M. me. Thanks.

Bob

I've shot the 6x45 Mini 14 before, pretty accurate for an auto.

Default 6 PPC Mini 14

I did a beater Mini 30 into a 6mm PPC quite a few years ago. Worked really good. I picked up an El-Cheapo barrel on EScrew and fitted it to a Mini 30 with a washed out barrel. Took a bit of experimenting with the gas hole to get the proper functioning but in the end it was a winner. Hell of a lot of fun blitzing coyotes at long range. They might dodge/outrun the first shot but not the 2nd or third!
Aloha, Mark
