For the guy with the hankering for a 257 Kimber, I looked at it for a deer rifle in 2005 and decided to build a 25-204 a virtual clone with no need for custom dies and readily available brass.

Velocities with the 25-204, 100gr 2800 and change, 85gr 3000fps and 75's at 3150 out of a 21" PacNor sporter barrel.

The 75 gr bullets both HP and V-max are brutal on coyotes, fur friendly they are not. I've shot a number of them testing it in the off season.

It is a dandy deer rifle, this is the first deer I killed with it, pretty nice way to break in a new cartridge.

That 25-204 sounds like my 6-222 Mag that I have been using for predators since 1968. Best shooter and effective gun I own, I have taken two deer with it both one shot kills. LOVE it!!!
