One of my absolute favorite GS/PD colony varmint rounds is Ray's 20 Javelina Improved (20JI). It's a .222 case shortened .160", necked down to .20 cal, and blown out to a 40* shoulder. It is a very efficient round. On about one grain more H-4198 powder it gives a good 200+ fps more than the 20VT. I have one in a XP-100 pistol also. The pistol version will make 500 yds plus on PD's. Amazing little round in my opinion. 410gauge

No doubt on that Dave. My son and I both shot Ray's 20JI at 300 on eggs. Breaks them with boring regularity.

Ray did an awesome job with the 17 & 20 Jav Imp. My 17 Jav Imp will out perform my 17-222.

I don’t see how one can narrow it down to 17 or 20 caliber though lol

PHONE (406) 395-4079 (Mon through Fri, 8-2 MST)

James Calhoon will help you narrow it down to a 19 caliber.
