Default Belding & Mull Mod 26 Bullet Seater

This is my very much loved B&M 22-250 bullet seater. It came to me many moons ago minus the base.

I use it on a piece of cold rolled steel plate that a friend ran an end mill down in and drilled a hole so the primer doesn’t sit on a hard surface.

I am guessing that the base would be the same for 308, 243, 30-06 and God knows how many more.

Does anyone have a B&M Seater for this case family with the original base they can take the dimensions from?

It would not be difficult to turn a proper base for it on the end of a piece of round bar stock… if I had the dimensions. I can’t tell you why it is important enough to me to bother making a matching base, it works real well in what I have.

This info might be of some use to you. My Wilson seater die body measures .998"OD. Sinclair International offers a Wilson stainless steel seater die base, could be modified if you want one cup style.

Wilson seaters usually come with a cup style base shown in the pic below.

I think it would be easier to turn one on the end of a piece of round bar stock then cut it off using a parting tool than to attempt to modify something that exists.

I have Wilson in-line seating dies and bases as well, but it has always bothered me to not have a correct base for this die.

They are shown in Belding and Mull Handbooks, but not in sufficient detail to make a copy.

I have seen photos of others over the years and found this photo of four Belding & Mull seating dies and a couple sizer dies that has a base in the photo. I’m just hoping that someone has a base for a die from this family and would photograph both sides and share the dimensions.
