Greetings Danny,
For the most part, ground squirrels out in our mountain and west coast area are not eaten. The ones I shoot are part of controlling their massive population out on the alfalfa farms. s |

Beautiful rifle Steve!
I appreciate you posting it, thank you.I really have all the bases covered with my
17s and totally enjoy shooting my 17Mach1V at pd’s as well as the 17AH 15” Contender Bullberry. The 19 Calhoon built on a Ruger 77/22 is just too much fun also.I was just thinking a 17 HH in a rifle would round out my Varmint battery nicely.Part of that is focused in a small way on the thought of paying tribute to my friend Doug Derner who helped develop the round.I don’t really need another small varmint round or rifle, I just want to in some small way pay tribute to his memory.I sure would love to see a Ruger #1 in 17 HH and I know I’m dreaming right now but wouldn’t that be nice. Matt

17VLD,
Many thanks and I do agree that is seems there is always "another" to add to the collection! Over the past 10 years, I've split my varmint rifles into ones I shoot and ones I just have to admire. I shoot the BAT's and I admire the Shilens. s |

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle. |
