Farley Firefly Question
I inherited a beautiful Farley Firefly in .17 Ackley Hornet. I'm trying to determine the serial number for insurance purposes. Is it hidden beneath the Farley scope rings? Otherwise, I'm clueless.
Thanks! |

You might ask over on benchrest central or accurate shooter forum.
Some of those guys shoot Farleys. Hal |

That a fairly hard to find action. There's 2 members on here with them, 410ga and Blake. Hopefully they can answer your questions.

Don't have a Firefly but have a couple left of several I have had. All of them have the serial number on the little flat that runs down the top of the action.

Welcome aboard HighWall...
Sounds like an awesome rifle in a great cartridge, the perfect way to get your feet wet in the small caliber world.
I hope you post a picture of it in the future. Matt

HighWall,
It is beneath the scope mounts...but if it has Farley rings you should be able to see it. It's on top of the action. It should be in the serial number range of 18-22. My information was Farley only built two Firefly's with a Hornet bf. I'd sure like to hear about yours!! You inherited a GEM!! FireFly Pix
Thanks for the information.
It appears the number is 17, which, as I now recall, the previous owner was delighted with. He enjoyed special serial numbers. I thought it was just the first couple characters of chambering description but it seems to be the serial number. Adding images requires 3rd party hosting? Or is there a way to load them directly? https://photos.app.goo.gl/oaoWeTP6isVc7kkZA Last edited by HighWall; 05-10-2023 at 08:31 PM. Reason: adding link |

HighWall,
Thanks for getting back. I didn't know there was a S/N 17. That looks like what you have. It's a RBLP which I didn't know that either. There seems to be (3) now. WOW! A great find!! 410gauge |
