Hi,
I loaded a few rounds with 33 grain Speer bullets starting at 15 grain Lil’gun, then 15.2 and 15.3 grains. Primers looked normal so I fired some of my regular loads, these being 40 grain Sierra BT x 16 grains, 50 grain Hornady SP x 14.5 grains and 52 grain Berger Target bullets x 13.9 grains Lil’gun.
All fired using CCI S Pistol primers and all primers appeared normal.
Rifle is CZ 527.
I picked up 1K Small Pistol primers on my way home from range today but I won’t start using them until I’m out of Small Rifle BR4s that i still have a few of left.
Hopefully more primers will appear before I need to start on the pistol ones.
Weather’s warming up now so that might need watching if I later use the primers.
On another note…the shop had 1lb jug of powder for £96…that’s around $126 per lb!
Thanks again, Ken.

Ken

Very glad it worked out for you. The 221 I tired SP primers with was a Remington lightweight stainless and those model 700s did have largish holes in the firing pins. Glad it worked in your CZ.

Thanks Dean,
At least it’s given me a bit of insurance in case small rifle primer’s don’t show for a long time.
Ken.
