Did you try AA2200 ? That seems to be the powder for good velocity and accuracy with any of the 20 VT's. Bill K

I've thought about trying this powder as well. I'm currently using 18.5 of RL7 and this brings the powder level just barely below the neck. I've used H4198, but like the RL7 a little better.

What are you currently using as a load for yours?
How much does it fill the case?

I've been playing around with the A2200 for my VT and am currently using 20.2 grains with a 32 gr. lead free nosler bullet. The powder is still below the case neck and I'm not seeing any pressure signs yet. I'll be trying some with 20.4 grains next. Bullet seating is 2.565 using the comparator.

I use 20.3 grns with the 32 grain bullet, now with the 32 grain lead free Nosler. Just below the neck is the powder level. Running 3790 FPS. Bill K

I've been attempting to load Noslers 32 gr lead free and Barnes 26 gr lead free for my 20 VT. Those bullets, when seated short of the lands, will not allow the bolt to close. Evidently, the presence of a donut at the base of the neck of the case is expanding the neck to a dimension greater than my chamber, .231. I was about to invest in a K@M neck trimming set up but have heard the Noslers and Barnes really don't group that well. I read somewhere that the Barnes bullet should be seated .05-.07 short of the lands. I'd be interested in hearing how those bullets work for you. I have some Hornady NTX on order and understand they shoot well.

Oh really on the Nosler's. I beg to disagree with you on that. The Nosler's shoot 1/2 and better groups in my 20 VT & 20 SCC and in my other 20 calibers. Like the 204R and 20-223AI. Try one box of the Nosler Varmageddon 32 grain or the 32 grain lead free and I bet you will be pleasantly surprised. Bill K
