I recently started re-forming plentiful 5.56/.223 cases into .222 Rem. Easy as can be with standard dies & Imp wax. The most tedious part is the neck length trimming.

Just FYI in case you can't find enough brass these days!

Winchester has been showing up at the farm store near me. Let me know if you can't locate some, think it was 32.00/100.

I have been doing the same, but also with forming LC5.56 down to 20 VT, 20 SCC, 221FB also, as it is plentiful to find and is good solid brass to make others out of. Form and trim die for what ever you want, then into your FL die and process further to load, fire form and not worry about locating brass for any given firearm, that uses the 5.56/223 Rem case. Plus just another step to enjoy our sport and hobby of reloading and shooting.

Exactly correct Bill, Monday a couple weeks ago I went to the range. Sat,Sun before it had carbine classes. There was a bunch of once fired LC,Fed brass in the mowed grass(and some live rounds, from clearing actions). Picked up a 1000. Ran it through the tumbler(no pins) jungle Jake cleaner and a shot of real lemon juice, came out looking like jewelry. I processed 200 for 223, just encase my nephew goes with prairie dog shooting. He will have to learn to load under supervision. The rest of the brass, who knows.

It amazes me how much brass I pick up at a couple range sites, around here also. In this day and age why so many leave it, makes me wonder, but their loss is my gain.
I pick up hundreds and do the same clean and de-prime and stash away in containers for future use. Sure saves a lot of money trying to purchase brass from various sites.
