Default And that project IS???

If you just want flash and smoke, you can load a low explosive like black powder with minimum projectile, chalk, wax, etc. and get "bang" and smoke. This requires that you CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN the gun or it will rust, rust, rust.

You can do the same thing with real fast powder and more resistance. Say bullseye and half a case of corn meal or chalk or ??? Paper wadding? LESS cleaning, but you may recall Mr. Lee's son shot himself in the head playfully, damn dumb, and died from the injury the blank wadding caused... !! NRA used to list some of these loads for mil. calibers for ceremony purposes.

Last, there are the work blanks. They drive nails with them. I believe there is a 8 ga. that was used to blast clinkers out of chimmneys. OR ??... I have no working relationship with the powder or loads of this nature. luck.

I just went through this process. Found 14" contender barrel in .17 HMR that had the crown buggered up. Thought since I was having it recrowned, i'd have it chambered to something more my liking. I ended up with the .17 Fireball... Waiting for Mike Bellm to do the work now...

May i ask what the length of barrel and purpose will be? i love these quandaries. It's like spending someone else's money. lol

Kind of hard to beat $85...

Green Mountain

They're out of stock, but getting on the list ensures you'll get it as soon as they're made and available...

I have a GM barrel and the bore is about .001 tighter than my CZ factory barrels. I could not get near the velocity because of pressure also. I am not saying it was the barrels fault. I don't know the cause. They also are a bch to profile. Mine had the bore off center so it had to be profiled at least some. It is a blank so there is nothing wrong with it being a little off center.
