Gunsmith reccomend. 22 H to K Hornet ?
I have a Browning 1885 Low Wall in 22 Hornet that I would like to get rechambered to a K Hornet . Any recommendations on a gunsmith for this ? I am in northeastern Ohio if that matters .
Any info or suggestions would be appreciated! |

Have you checked with any local gunsmiths in your town/area ?
They may be able to do the job for you. Or you might contact Pac-nor or Doug Turnbull. |

Greg Tannel is one of the best, but be prepared to wait for it.

If Evilio MacDonald in Houston, TX is still working, he has done a bunch of them. I have my own reamer and did the last two myself with barrel in place using a T-handle wrench from PT&G. It isn't a particularly difficult job, just have to pay attention to the basics and don't get too aggressive.
There was another guy from the midwest who used to post on this site a good bit; went into gunsmithing/rifle building several years ago but can't remember his name. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this? |

Another idea would be to call Kelbly's and see if they can recommend anybody near you. |

I wish Bob Green was still in action. That’s who I’d recommend.

Find some bench or varmint shooters in your area and ask them for a recommendation. It's something you could do yourself (if you wanted to) so why send the gun off?

Greg isn’t taking on new work currently per his website.

Did I not read somewhere, that he was retiring and even had his business for sale ? Was going to still do a few things. Or was that another gunsmith ?
