Yes, I think Adam is who I was thinking of. Anybody know anything about him?

Another idea would be to call Kelbly's and see if they can recommend anybody near you.

I wish Bob Green was still in action. That’s who I’d recommend.

Bob was an exceptional gunsmith but he left that and took up magic; great disappearing act .

Default Bob Green

Does anyone know what happened to Bob. He worked on several barrels and actions for me. Always helpful with quick deliveries. Really strange…

I remember some posts and comments a few months back, some said he had retired.

I just spoke with Bob Green last week about building me another 20 Vartarg. He’s still building great rifles.

Great, glad the info on his possible retiring is/was false.
I had him build me a rifle, a few years back and he did and excellent job.

Find some bench or varmint shooters in your area and ask them for a recommendation. It's something you could do yourself (if you wanted to) so why send the gun off?

Any info or suggestions would be appreciated!
I did a .22 Hornet Martini into a .22 Ack. IMP Hornet rather than a "K" version due to already having a .17 ACK IMP reamer. I used a .22 bushing and bingo - perfect job, by hand.

I use "K" dies and just careful not to touch the shoulder. The Ackley version has a 30 degree shoulder, while the "K" has a 35degree shoulder.
