Default 20VT velocity expectations

Having read of up to 300 fps penalty for not using RL 7, I'm wanting info on general rules of thumb - re powder choices.
The pills I'm stock piling for a 10 day squeek shoot are 32 Vmax, 35 & 40 Bergers, 39 Blitzking. Majority of brass will be Lapua and LC.
Pertinent comments requested and thanks.
P.S. I'm not a velocity freak but I do want to launch'em a bit. Most twists will be an 11 then a 9 on a 20 BR. )

AA2200 is great in the VT's. should run you around 3800 with 32 grain bullets. Acrobatics are great. Bill K

I've heard Viht N120 produces good velocities and is a top performer with the 32's, anyone use it?

i use rel7 almost exclusivity. i also use 32gr varmageddons, 32gr vmax and 34gr midway nitemare in my 20vt. in my rifle, rel7 is more than accurate than h4198. but h4198 is a good'un too.

I got my CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar .223 re-barreled with a Pac-Nor Super Match Stainless 3 groove 1 in 12 twist chambered into a tight neck .20 VarTarg back from Greg Tannel a fair number of years ago, he also did all his magic tricks on it while it was down there. I did initial break-in and my first few groups with Hornady's first .20 caliber V-Max the 33 grainer. After that I switched to the 32 gr V-Max when it came out and again the only powder I used was H4198 with Rem 7 1/2 BR primers. All were loaded in weight segregated RP brass with the primer pockets uniformed, the flash holes reamed and the necks turned to mic .226 on a loaded neck for a .228 necked chamber.
Other components might shoot better but I can't so I stopped looking .
Early group.

With the 32 grain V-Max's it shoots lights out at 3,780ish FPS. Within it's reasonable distance it's a real rat spreader .
Only problem "if it is one?", is that with H4198 at what I consider the rounds upper limits where that load is IMO, I feel compelled to weigh every charge. Doesn't bother me but others mileage may vary. What a fantastic round!

The load mountdoug shows is the exact same load I've been shooting for years through three different 20 VT's I've owned with the 32gr V-Max/Z-Max bullet. I tried a little more powder a number of years ago, but decided it wasn't worth it. I get an average of 3750 fps. If I need more I go to Ray's 20 Javelina Improved. That rd is amazing on what it produces in velocity and accuracy with very little more H-4198 powder. Very efficient. I get an average of 3900 + fps with the 32 gr V-Max/Z-Max bullets. 410 gauge

Default 20 VarTarg loads

I was lucky enough to purchase a Dakota Predator last August in 20 Vartarg.
The answers to this post have confirmed my thoughts on which load I should use.

I tried AA 2200 and H 4198 with equal results. My loads were above the listed powder charges by your replies. I am using Lapua 221 fireball brass with my Chrony showing 3950 with no pressure signs at about 80 degrees at the time

Have decided to back my load back to make sure I safe in hotter weather for this years PD trips

I'm right there with Doug and 410gauge. H4198 w/Rem 7 1/2 primers and 32 V-Max bullets. Running very near 3,800 fps with silly good accuracy. Could not be any happier with it.
