Last night for a while
Monday morning I'm heading for the New England states for 2 weeks. I thought I'd have one last night out. I set up behind a farmers barn over looking his garden and pasture. I took my 17 hmr and my 17AH, the first chuck was at the end of the pasture 245 yards and I missed, about 20 min. later he came back out this time I hit him but he kicked around for several seconds before he stopped, about half an hour later another one came out at the same place, he sniffed the dead one and started feeding I shot him and had about the same scenario. Later I lasered one at 226 yards, he was in some weeds and I had trouble seeing him finally I got an opening in the weeds and shot but I couldn't tell if I hit him. So I had to go check, under the fence and across a good sized stream, the one at 226 was about a 10 lb chuck, the other 2 must have gone 11 or 12 lbs. All were shot with the 17AH I think I'll keep it. For got the camera.
