Default Current 17 hm2 quality

Since 17 HM2 is fairly available again, has anyone been shooting the current production ammo, and how has the quality been? My first go around I was using the Eley ammo and it shot great.

Thanks,
Drew

I bought several thousand of the new Hornady stuff. I'm getting a ragged hole 5 shot group at 50 yards and tearing up Starlings reliably out to the 100 yard mark. No complaints. I did just buy a brick of the new CCI stuff but have yet to try it.

I would love one, but not buying one unless it’s a new CZ.

Mailing an order to Natchez tomorrow.
Just looked at the 17M2 ammo.

$8.59 and $9.49: I don't need any at that price yet.

Will stock up with extra sets of scope rings for $6pr though.
Mighty handy to have on hand.

George,

Midway just had CCI's for $6.00 a box. Don't know if it's still going...…….

Yep, some $5.99 .17m2 has been around lately, I've shot enough of the new CCI and Hornady to say its good to go, maybe not quite at the level of the Eley we had available but very usable. Even picked up .17m2 number eight two weeks ago.

Because Ruger and Remington could not make their semi autos work with it.
In Ruger's case, would not make it work.

Both companies lost money trying to use their existing platforms for the 17HM2.

Incredible cartridge in a Martini. Easy to fit. Slip in a 17 cal liner, chamber and go hunting.
