Hi 410gauge,

the primary purpose ~60% will be for target shooting. I will attempt to build it as close dimensionally, though probably not weight-wise to my silhouette rifle, and use it for practice. The remaining ~40% will be for eradication of ground squirrels, after two years absence, they have again appeared.

So, I would say that although I do not need a bench-rest accuracy, given the small targets, reasonable accuracy is required. Since I am not sure that a ~1200 custom action is required, I have been looking for an older 40X or C, G series 700. I already have a barrel on order (Krieger), I am still not sure about which two-stage trigger.

Thank you for the comment on the neck thickness.

Hi JohnHenry,

I am not in a position to argue given my (in)experience, but, based on what you have written, assuming (I know, I know), similar tolerance of the same head-stamp brass and neck turned to uniform thickness, should such not yield "accuracy adequate . . . to try to consistently shoot 1/4 moa groups"?

Kindest regards,

M
