Default Pac Nor Barrel plant burned down

I just read on A/R about this.

Has a picture, I'm not literate enough on this thing

to post a link.

Sad deal, insured but may not rebuild.

Disconnecting electrical to a broken down lathe

when it shorted out.

Looks like a duplicate of JohnHenry's thread below titled Pac-Nor barrels George, I hadn't caught that one. Every .17 and .20 I've had put together is wearing a Pac-Nor 3 groove Super Match Stainless, never had a clunker. Prayers for Chris, I can't even imaging what he must be going through after all these years. Tragic!

I remember Chris Dichter from my Curry County Deputy Sheriff days. He use to drive a chip truck from Brookings to Coos Bay. I would have coffee with him and the other drivers in Orford's on Port Orford. Those drivers were my eyes and ears along my part US 101 from Frankport to the Coos county line. Many a person broke down or wrecked were rescued by those drivers and their CB radio.

About the time I left Curry County, Chris started training under Jim Cuthbert of JGS reamers. Then he started his own operation in Brookings.

I used a few of his barrels in my active Gunsmithing days.

This is sad news. Eight or nine jobs lost is a major loss in small county like Curry County. I will pray for him and his staff.

Thumbs up Good news

Was reported on accurateshooter.com that they have intentions to rebuild and may take six months to a year. Good news for a change.

For those that use FB, updates will be posted there.
