Default The .220 Redline Lives!

Not exactly Small Caliber, but I know there are a few hot rodders here who might be interested...

My buddy Fred just finished a write up, part 2, on his .220 Redline (.22 SAUM) project.

It's up, running, kicking heads in and taking names with 75's at 3900 fps. His first trip afield, to whack a few 'chucks, went four for four including one over 500 yards and one over 700 yards, one shot kills.

Post is on my blog, The .220 Redline Lives!

I've been following this project on Accurate Shooter. Been waiting for pictures of the carnage.

Not planning on building one, but it does have a place for some.

I bet that cartridge has more than enough balls to sling the new 95 smk's at a fairly steady click. if he burns the 1:9 up maybe you suggest he try a 1:7 with 95's. bet it would shoot just as flat due to the .600g1 bc at the longer ranges and no doubt better in the wind.

it's a cool cartridge none the less!

Just added Fred's videos of the first four chucks to the bottom of the post.

Here's the first one:

Default Fredo doesn’t mess around....

Have really enjoyed the posts about this rifle/cartridge and it’s creation.I am glad Fred did this and am sure it is surpassing his expectations.
Thanks for sharing this here Dave.
