Default 20-250 POWDER choices

I'm curious on powder choices from the members playing with this caliber.
I've seen posts that included
Varget
H4350
IMR4350

RL16 has shown to provide great accuracy with single digit ES
This burn rate is just a tadd slower then Varget and much faster then 4350's

Not a 20-250 but I've had awesome luck with RL15 in my 20Nitro ( 20BRAI).
I've thought of trying H4895 I know guys have really good luck with it in there 6BRAI.
Be curious to see what the new RL15.5 would do

I like RL-15 in my 308 Win, better than Varget.

Default VV?

Id give VV550, VV555, VV160, and VV560 a try in that order. I am going to do further load development with VV550 in my 20BRA once it cools off a bit.

Those are slow burning powders.
I thought H4350, IMR 4350. and HUNTER burn rates were considered slow burn but yours are even further down the list.
Some other considerations I've seen were the much faster RL15 and Varget

A newbie to this caliber will feel over whelmed with the powder choices.
I experienced RL17 as magic in a 308 with 180 pills... possibly a consideration for the heavy 55's in a 20-250Ackley

RL16 and H4350 are nearly identical burn rates but because RL16 generally produces a fair amount more velocity with the same load it's perceived to be a faster burn rate powder.

For all out velocity in the a 20-250 shooting the Berger 55's RL26 is most likely going to reign king.

RL26 is another one of those powders that sometimes is perceived as being much faster burn rate than it actually is because it produces so much more velocity than the other powders in its burn rate class.

I use RL16 in my 20-250 w/55's and I know I'm giving up a good 100+ fps to what RL26 could produce but it shoots crazy good with my RL16 load, has single digit ES, and RL16 has shown to be extremely temp stable.

RL26 is an intriguing powder and has been impossible to find in Alberta.
I was loading for a 30-06 and read that RL26 was performing really well with 180 Partition bullets.
RL16 is another difficult powder to find... but eventually these will show up.
When I hear someone is seeing single digit ES readings then I'm sold on the powder recipe.

Hey there, Al. Sounds like you are doing well up there. Good to hear from you. It's too bad rl16 isn't available, it has worked out for me surprisingly well. Not knowing anything about it, I bought 8 lbs, thinking it was between 15 and 17 burn rates, plus no data at the time. After playing with it a little bit, I came up with some good loads for a couple of over bore rounds. Also, a BIG plus is it has copper remover in it. Hope you can find some before winter. Take care, Tom.

For a 20-250 AI and 55 Bergers, Quickload says the top ten are: RL 26, Norma MRP, RL 17, RL 16, Vih N560, IMR 7828, RL 23, RL 22, Win WRX, RL 25 and predicts max velocity of 3400 fps with RL26 before you hit pressure.

Default met with gunsmith

Met with my gunsmith yesterday - dropped off all the parts for the
20-250Ackley and said it'll be ready in 4 weeks.
Purchased a pound of RL16 on the way home.

Also, left behind a SAKO AI single shot which is being re-barreled.
Sadly, the 20PPC barrel is wore out.
Going to be a gain twist x 7:5 in a 22PPC
