This may sound dumb but I've seen case dimensions ginen for OAL as 1.760" and 1.766", which is it?

hey tim
I use trim to length of 1.760.
load that works great, 24.6 RL 10x with the 40gr. VMAX
25.3gr of RL 10x with the 33gr VMAX

The 1.760 dimm is pretty common, never heard of 1.766. Measured my chamber and it's 1.788, 20-30 thou longer than spec which is pretty common.

tbeasley, I'm runnin 25.7 R10x with the 40 vmax in the new Dakota/lapua brass. Shoots great, thanks.

I'm getting 3925fps, although this is out of a 25 1/4" bbl in a Dakota Predetor. Slightly better than my N133 loads and groups have been great-just small round holes.

25.3 of RL10x with the 40vmax would through my pressures out of the roof.
I chrono'd my load of 24.6 RL10x with the 40vmax and got an avg. of 4020fps.

Hodgdon’s 2006 Annual Manual has a trim length of 1.750” for the .20 Tactical using Winchester cases.

Got 'em and thanks. Seperated the G&H, annealed, cleaned,loaded it. Nice surprise to see a couple cases headstamped R2.
