Rem Model 600 vs. Model 7....
Regarding the Rem Model 600 and Model 7? Are they the same length and over-all dimensions? I realize the screw spacing is different, but otherwise, are they pretty much the same (excluding bolt handle)? TIA

Pretty sure my early M7 one hole in the rear bridge has a Leupold one piece base marked '600'. The later ones have two holes. Check with PTG/Brownell's to find out if the firing pins/springs/followers are the same. Triggers are.

Checked my one hole M7. An XP-100 bridge mount fits. If the later M7 are not listed as fitting an XP-100 mount, well there's one difference.

If you dig into it a bit, there are actually quite a few differences. No doubt some can be over come in a pinch with some "southern engineering", but some others like bolt length and magazine box location are significant.
