Default 22-3000 Help Me Out

Posted this earlier and it disappeared. If there is a reason this happened please send me a PM explaining so I understand and won't make the same mistake again. Not trying to break the rules. I probably just didn't complete post.

Does anybody have any experience with this cartridge. I know nothing about it and would appreciate any input.

Thanks
Doug

No personal knowledge, if you are referring to the 22-3000 Lovell cartridge. Google it up and read, etc. and/or wait for those that do have knowledge to chime in. Bill K

Based on the older .25-20 Single Shot, Basic brass is available from Captech as well as the formed .25-20SS but you'll want the basic so you won't have to fire form the brass. The .25-20SS is longer than the .25-20 Win, and smaller at the base so you cannot use it to make the .22-3000
The .22-3000 was highly publicized and praised in its time, the R2 Lovell was an improved version, but they quite quickly fell away with the .222Rem coming onto the scene.

We've made it in the past, nothing tricky about it, the necks are thicker then the 25-20 Win. brass so you don't have that issue to worry about.
I've since sold the dies, you don't need a forming die if you have a set of neck size dies for one of the shorter fellers. CH4D made our sets and they are good.

I'll dig up the data for it just drop me a line when you need it. (cause I will forget)

Ron,
I have several hundred proper headstamped brass. Just wondering if anyone still uses it or has a need for it.
Thanks for the input
