My inclination is the purchaser bought the rights to the name, possibly the equipment and real estate went along with it. More likely than not any liabilities or obligations were specifically written out of the deal.
They may continue to produce the same or similar rifles. Who knows at this point what their intentions are. |

I video recorded all of my Highpower Rifle matches. Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle. |

Visit
I stopped by the Nighthawk Custom booth at the Dallas Safari Club convention on Friday and asked about the Cooper acquisition. Very nice gentleman but admitted it was a work in progress and he didn’t know all the details. He stated all the machinery hadn’t yet arrived and they were still talking to a number of the employees to relocate. He did say they would be starting with wood stock rifles and only later go to “carbon fiber”( his words). That seems to echo the announcement that mentions each would have “stunning wood”. No idea of time frame.
So, not much concrete info but he did say they wanted to produce a high quality product. I’ll stand by and give them the benefit of the doubt. I love my Coopers and have used them extensively. Hope they survive Larry |

No problem! I wish they had more info to give, but it was clear to me that this was such a quick decision and rushed move, that they have a lot to figure out.

I would like them to be made to deal better with venting gas if a primer pops instead of straight back through the bolt and into your eye. I'm surprised that hasn't been mentioned more over the years. That said I know Montana will miss them .
