I will check with MGM, etc. I have contender barrels in 223 and some others, even 375 JDJ, but just never saw a fireball in one, so I guess I assumed ( bad move) that they don't do one.
A 20vt would work, if they do have and can use the fireball case.
Must do some checking. Bill K

for something entirely different;

I built up a 22 squirrel on a M15 frame. Bought a M17 cylinder and barrel off Ebay, and chambered it up.

quite enjoyable to shoot, now wears a Leupold mount and scope to help me see more better.

Dies were made from scratch, could not find a preowned set back then.

Picts of early in the project(ie not finished) are in my albums.

At my age I spend a lotta time trying to figure how to balance on one leg to kick myself in the kiester over things I had in past years and never should have sold/traded. Some were colossally stupid moves .
In keeping with this topic there's a Ruger Hawkeye in .256 Winchester Magnum I bought new in the box for about $90.00. Also a new in the box XP100 I paid less then a $100.00 for, and a couple a High Standard .22's. A Model 106 Military Supermatic Tournament and a Military Citation as well.
When ya can't even remember what ya swapped em for or when exactly ya sold em ya know it was a really bad plan .

Bill K. and all, T/C must have made a 221 FB at some time, because I have a factory 10" T/C bull barrel in 221 FB. It does embody its name when fired. It is obnoxiously loud, incredible muzzle blast/shockwave and fireball. Also have a 14" T/C barrel in 223, and the FB is definitely more obnoxious. Both are reasonably accurate.

So both of those short rifles have taken hogs over 500yds. The 20vt is pushing a 40gr Berger @ 3800 from the 16" barrel and the 22 Dasher is pushing a 53gr right at 3800fps from its 18" barrel. Both were sub .25" guns at the beginning of the year. I haven't seen more targets since April, but there have been tons of hogs.

This was the 22 Dasher

Default Dashers and VarTargs....

Does it get any better?
That 40 Berger is a coyote killer for sure,and that 53 V-Max does very well in my XP/223,it is only going 3200fps though.Time for a Dasher XP

Them are nice Adam (although I was expecting something else ;-)

Ray H has a really nice gopher getter handgun I think you’d enjoy.
