Default one reason I am looking for a 204 Ruger

I just bought 40 boxes of ammo at $20 per box. 22 same lot of Hornady and 18 Remington. Gotta love the guys in back woods that still shoot a lot of 30-30 and don't believe in the new fangled stuff.

Good for you. That would last me for 3 days shooting prairie dogs, maybe.

Hey Jeff, the 1st custom gun I owed was a Rem. 700 22BR. I sent it to Greg at GerTan and he built a 17BR and 20BR switch barrel for me. The first 3 shots were 20 gr. V-max’s in 17 barrel. Over the screens they clocked a little over 4200 and grouped in .107 center to center. I never installed the 20 or the 22 barrels. Reckon yours will shoot as well? Joking as mine was a fluke but it became my go to gun for the long stuff and a beautiful 17AC Hornet on the 38 Copper for the little critters. But does it shoot pretty well? I am in Emory Texas (lake Fork, the bass fishing capital of Texas) so the trip to SD may be a stretch---although I drive an ’05 Dodge SRT pickup—the Viper. So please, text me some pick of both stocks and dimensions of the barrel. What trigger? Not only am I long winded but very interested in your gun. 9034565749 -- cell Sorry, just saw the barrel info. What bullets should the 1-11 shoot. I will be shooting only factory as I not longer reload. Thanks again Jeff. Brooks

Hey Brooks, I drove through your town yesterday. I'm visiting my daughter in Brashear and we went to Tyler for the day. Impressive lake! Where do you shoot around there? Looks like every plot of land has a dwelling on it. From an old camper to fancy mansions and everything in between it would be hard to find a safe direction to shoot. Hotshot

I had 20 acres and trees are the best backstop. Had my range set up to 300 yrs, insulated shooting room with a window that opened to the back of the property. I could sit and reload, test, reload more and then shoot an occasional crow or yote that wandered onto the property. You driving on the hwy did not allow you to see the vast unpopulated property surrounding Lake Fork. If you came into Emory on 19 and turned left on 69 to head to Tyler you passed by my office. Wish I had known and I'd a bought you some coffee.
