Yeah! I want BOTH of them!
I have two of these and I will never sell them! Best little 22 Mag semi-auto I have ever had!
Someone will buy it from you and be very Happy! Nice looking wood, too!
Do you have a $ amount you would like to get?
Bill

Strange...it shows up now. Nice rifle.

BTW, this is a 611A not the earlier 611.

I have one and it shoots really well. My 15 year old son loves to shoot it.

What's the difference between 611 and 611A? I would have to check but I think my forearm is slimmer.

TOU would be the expert on this but I believe the 611 has a milled receiver and a 611A is stamped.

Yeah...that is the biggest difference. The 611A's are a fine weapon just not the same level of workmanship as the earlier 611's. Hence they are not as highly regarded as the earlier and more expensive to build and the more refined 611.
Both use the same magazines and they have gotten pricey at $125-$200 each. Functionally they are near identical. They are BOTH usually good shooters...611 or 611A. Parts are almost non-existent for either.

Of note, there were a few VERY early 611A's that had some minor issues but most were quickly sent back, repaired or replaced. Later ones were fine. The 611's were always reliable...unless you mess with the triggers...on either. (Can you say "full auto" with no shut off until empty?) The reality is the triggers start out hard & can be gritty, but NEVER mess with them & make sure the one you are buying is okay.

While I would prefer a 611, I would not hesitate to get one of the 611A's if that is what you can find and if the price is right IE cheaper...especially if it is to be a shooter and not a safe queen. Either way they are BOTH going up in prices and the magazines are going up even more.

A few differences put together by several of us over on RFC:

Quote:
  • The 611 is from a milled block of steel, the 611A is a stamped receiver.
  • The 611's tend to have a straight comb American style stock instead of the European Hogs back style.
  • The shape of the stock is different, especially noticeable on the forearm.
  • The A model has a different safety than the original, and the barrel is not as thick/heavy as the original.
  • The rear site base on the 611A is sweated on whereas on the 611 it is machined.
  • The rear sight on the A is half the size of the original.
  • The bolt on the A is a different shape than the original, not quite as hefty.
  • Not all A models came with sling swivels.
  • The screws in the buttplate on the 611A are somewhat plain whereas on the 611 they are of the type you might find on a custom rifle or higher grade shotgun.
  • There is about a quite a price difference.
  • They shoot comparably...

My rear A sight seems to be machined/milled as well.

The A forend and rear sight is below.

The 611 forend and rear sight.

Next, if you do a search on the CZ/Brno forum on RFC...using "611*" & especially "611A" you will likely get more info than you can read.

In general, the 611's are one of the neatest pieces of arms art ever made in my opinion...love them! Of all the weapons I own this would be one of the absolute last ones ever to be sold...hopefully never. BTW, 611A's are just about as cool. Keep in mind they are not making either and functionally they are nearly identical...it seems the values are increasing on both now.
