SO-TEX is dead on. When our famed Gov Florio passed the ban in NJ I took my banned guns to my cousin in Pa. to wait it out. Problem was they are still banned today lol. I still own the guns just don't have possesion of them in NJ. Perfectly legal.

I will wait as long as possible before I register them, there are AR-15s that cannot be registered due to the accessories they have, they must be adapted to be compliant.
Another problem I have is if I move them to another state I cannot shoot them in NY state, they need to be registered. If I register them I can shoot them in private ranges, not public ranges. Private Ranges reserve the right to decline any AR-type firearms. I have discussed the details with one of my best buddies who is a higher-up in the NY state troopers and the situation is not good.... |

Anyone smell another civil war in the future? Seems like anything could happen. 49% of the population are not in agreement with Obama (percentage didn't vote for him), I'm guessing that at least two thirds are all gun owners. I've been shocked to see local Sheriff's and State officials say they will not support or enforce any such gun ban. Doesn't matter what side a person is on, some natural chaos is about to come to a head.

I think we are alot closer than most people realize. Had Cuomo rammed his confiscation idea through as opposed to the registration he ended up with, there would have been conflicts. The fact that any government official is thinking it is OK to confiscate anything the population owns, scares the hell out of me. That right there tells me where we are headed.

i wouldn't register anything. that sets you up for confiscation down the road. that's the whole purpose of registering. it ain't because you are a law abiding citizen. just my .02 |
