Default 20 VarTarg Repeater

Has anyone had success running the 20VT or any other 221 based cartridges in an AICS pattern 223 magazine? I have 6BR spacer kits that reduce the length to 2.5" but thats still pretty long. The action is a Bighorn TL3 with CRF so that should help.

I currently run this setup as a 6 Dasher. They are notorious for feeding issues from magazines. It runs very smoothly.

I know a 20 practical or tactical would be much easier but wheres the fun in that?

I was playing around with my Howa mini in 223 the other day and loaded the detachable mag with some 20 VT's and they all fed great. Got me thinking about that now.

I just dont know if the controlled round feed would pick up the round and control it before the case left the feed lips.

CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar HS Precision stocked versions in .223 were converted to .20 VarTargs for mine, got two of em. The first one Greg Tannel did for me has the original CZ 527 .223 magazine and it feeds flawlessly. No modifications of any kind, it just works. "Others mileage may vary" but I've never had a failure to feed. 32 grain V-Max's and 32 grain BlitzsKings only if that matters.
