Todd kindler dies sold to this person
Copied from predatormasters forum. Hopefully it gets better for all of us that shoot 17s.
have been a big fan of Todd Kindlers 30's. Great bullet for coyotes. I screwed up and shot a bunch of Prarie Dogs with them because they drift so little and are really accurate. Well Todd quit making them. I asked who he sold them too and he told me and I ordered more. Big mistake, to make a long story short, he trained a guy out of Texas by the name of Steve Bruce. No email and no voicemail. The guy is bipolar. I waited 23 days for bullets and then demanded to have my money returned. He threatened me and then seemed to settle down and said he would overnight them. Never heard from him again. No bullets but he did credit my account. If you think this is a hoax and a vendetta, please call Todd Kindler. He won't endorse him, I think he feels responsible. The only one out there at this time that has bullets is Reed's out of Oklahoma. I am going to order some tomorrow. We will see. |

I love me Todd and his 30 golds are the nicest looking bullet I've ever laid eyes on... but they are also the only bullet I've e re seen that tumbled and my CZ 17 rem wouldn't shoot them. I have well over 2k of the Berger 30 in two styles both shot fine from that rifle. I was so disappointed at the time. But then the 25 gr vmax came out and then I've never got back to the 30s....
Too bad for Todd. He starts something nice (like SCN) and then after he sells it doesn't live on.

That's the same story I've heard Zhelton. The guy I spoke to that told me about the bullet business moving to Texas said he's gone off the deep end.

Can someone just suggest that one of us on here, or a bunch of us just buy some new dies and start making the 30gr HPBT again? I'm sure it will keep someone busy, and orders would continue comming in as long as the bullets performed. Perhaps that should be, Todd Kindler?
I guess that this is so obvious that there has to be a reason for the lack of action. Pure economics perhaps, or a lack of passion? I have 30grainers from Nagle, Berger and Kindler, all are accurate, the Berger was/is more so, but they too stopped making them. Stocking up seems the only option unless you want to make them yourself. |

Lack of readily available quality jackets perhaps?

DAA, a Bud called me today
As I was trying to ID some bullets I thought he had made, sent pix etc. As we talked on he mentioned that was one endeavor I probably would not want to embark on. He also mentioned, as you did, that getting jackets, quality jackets would be a major problem.
He stopped making bullets a long time ago. |

Badgerbob builds a real nice 30 grain bullet too. I haven't shot any of mine but I've seen the targets he's shot with them. Might be my go to 30 grain bullet.

I'd bet a decent machinist could make the dies to produce
good jackets but, one at a time. That would be a rough way to go filling orders the way us guys burn powder. I sure wouldn't want to make many even IF I had dies. Corbin would make the dies I'm sure, but, the wait might be out of hand, then hard telling about getting the proper tubing or plate for it.
