Default WTB - .17 Rem (High Plains Brass)

Does anyone know if these guys are still in business?
Saubier.com still has their ad up at the top, but they are MIA.
You can't get to their website directly. I've dropped them email and it's been unanswered. Has anyone ordered from them recently.
Looking for some .17 Rem brass at a reasonable price.
Reasonable has taken on a new description in this day and age

I just went to their website, clicked on .17 Rem and added to cart. The website says 2021 at the bottom.

It is short necked.
If you can’t find 17 Remington brass I would make it from 204 if I had too.
Others say the short necked works fine.
If I was stuck with the short, I would go with a 17-223 chamber to begin with.

As I recall, 17 Rem made from 223 Rem results in about 0.040" short necked.

That is correct.

The 17 Remington cartridge is directly descended from the 222 Rem Mag case and not from the 223 Rem case.

When HP Brass first came here, I called them to ask if their brass was full length as they advertised or short. I was assured that it was full length 17 Rem brass and that they had "a special sizing method that stretched" the brass to full length. I never pursued it further as the guy I was talking with seemed peeved that I would even ask such a question.

I never tried any of it, and if done in moderation, firing 17 Rem brass that is short necked probably won't cause any serious chamber issues. Still, I'm glad that I have a life-time supply of regular length brass derived from 222 Rem Mag brass to play with.

This is not a knock on HP Brass in any way. Many people seem to be totally satisfied with their products. I'm just relating what I was told at the time.........
