Default Options, CZ 527 action and X-Caliber 20 cal barrel

I have a new CZ 527 action with the 7.62x39 bolt/magazine and a new X-Caliber 1-11" 20 cal 3 groove barrel. What other options are out there with this bolt face other than the obvious 20PPC?

Chuck,a 20x6AR
Which would just be a 20 Grendel
If I had those components, that's what would get made.
Good Brass and excellent powder capacity cartridge.
a !/11 would be so nice with the 32s and 39-40 grain bullets!!!!

JMHO!

Chuck, Ray has a 20 PPC IMP (40 degree shoulder). There's the 20 Pup (shortened PPC case by .175"), and the 20 Titan (basically the 6.5 Grendel necked down to 20 with a 30 degree shoulder moved forward). Your right...not a lot of choices. 410gauge

Default ok

What's the difference and die availability? 20 Beggs, 20 Titan, and 20 Grendel? I believe all 3 of those use the 220 Russian parent. My current 20PPC is the 237nk variant that allows 220 Russian without any nk turning. I'm thinking you can basically throw a towel over the whole lot when it comes to performance and I'm not into re-inventing the wheel and it's going to have to feed from the magazine. Is there any advantage to picking one of the above 3 because 100fps is nothing if your telling me it's a little faster. I see bigger variances than that in different barrels.

My recommendation would be a Grendel necked to 20 & a 40 deg shoulder. Would get Whidden to make a die from twice fired brass.

Default the need to feed

It's gotta be a slick feeder, 40* shoulders are out. The fireforming and making brass is not a concern, jinky and balky feeding is a deal killer. I'm even getting conflicting accounts of the PPC case and the 7.62 mag working well.

this

I built one for a client on a 700 and watched him hit an 18" gong at will, at 1000 yds using 55 bergers. The commies really came up with something when they came up with the 7.62 x 39 case.

Chuck, the 20 Beggs might be the best option for the feeding issue, but I've never owned one...only know what I've read. There is a round called the 20 Russian. PTG had a reamer for it, but again I don't have any direct experience with it. Might check with them for a reamer print...although I understand they are charging for the prints now. 410gauge
